Thermal Transfer Technology uses a ribbon to transfer an image onto the label material types such as paper and syntethic. They are less likely to scratch, scuff, or fade. In thermal transfer printing, a hot print head melt a ribbon onto the blank printing label. This type of label printing is highly cost effective. The material are cheap, and the printer itself is a fairly simple machine.
